Yes, another random flower picture.  I am starting to think I need to get a field guide to flowers or something.  This photo was taken in downtown Wake Forest, if my memory is correct.

Some peppers in the foreground with mushrooms and eggplant in the background.

This is a big flower at Duke Gardens.  It is not obvious from the photo, but the flower bud is about 6 or 7 inches tall.

I have no idea what kind of bug this is, but it looks really cool.  I took this a few weeks ago in Mom's garden.

This is Jill, one of Katy's cousins.

This is a neat-looking lamp at the Salzhauer's house.  I'm not sure where it is from, but I would guess somewhere exotic.

This was part of one of the displays at last year's chili cook-off at the Farmers Market.

After a slight increase in contrast and brightness, I just used the oilify filter (Filters -> Artistic -> Oilify) in the Gimp.  I used a mask size of 30 and an exponent of 8 at full resolution, then scaled the image.
